Klaipėda sits at the western edge of Lithuania where the Danė meets the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic. It is easy to reach – the nearest airport is half an hour away, trains run from Vilnius several times a day and overnight ferries arrive from Germany and Sweden – and once you are here, the Old Town is small enough to walk. Bohema stands on its southern edge, at Galinio Pylimo g. 16.
Nearest airport: Palanga (PLQ), 35 km – about 35 minutes by car; a taxi costs around €30.
By train: Vilnius–Klaipėda in about 4–5 hours; tickets are half price until 31 December 2026.
From the stations: the railway and bus stations are 2.3 km north of the hotel – a 30-minute walk or a short ride on bus 8.
Arriving late? Reception is open from 08:00 to 20:00; later arrival is possible if you let us know in advance.
How to get here
By plane
The closest airport is Palanga International (PLQ), 35 km north – about 35 minutes by car. The airport's official taxi tariff gives around €30 to Klaipėda city; pay by the meter and ask for a receipt. Bolt also operates in the area.
By public transport, take bus 31 from the airport to Klaipėda bus station: about 40 minutes, €3 with the e-ticket app or €4 in cash from the driver. Some route 31 trips end in Palanga, so check that the sign says “Palangos oro uostas” on the way out. From the bus station, take bus 8 or walk 30 minutes to the hotel.
If you fly into Vilnius, Kaunas or Riga, Ollex runs airport express coaches to Klaipėda (book online at ollex.lt); the Vilnius and Kaunas coaches stop at the Akropolis shopping centre.
By train
LTG Link trains connect Vilnius and Klaipėda about six times a day; the journey takes from 4 hours (the fast trains) to just under 5. A standard ticket costs €14.70 and less when booked early – and from 9 October to 31 December 2026 all domestic train tickets are half price. Buy on ltglink.lt, in the LTG Link app, at the station or on board. There is no direct train from Kaunas; the bus is easier.
Klaipėda railway station is 2.3 km north of the hotel, across the river – take bus 8 from the nearby bus station or a taxi.
By bus
Intercity buses from Vilnius, Kaunas and other Lithuanian towns arrive at Klaipėda bus station (Butkų Juzės g. 9), next to the railway station; timetables and tickets are on autobusubilietai.lt. From Riga, Lux Express and Ollex run coaches via Palanga.
By ferry
DFDS sails to Klaipėda from Kiel in Germany (about six times a week, roughly 20–22 hours) and from Karlshamn in Sweden (daily, about 13 hours), with foot passengers welcome; TT-Line also sails from Trelleborg. DFDS ships dock at the Central Klaipėda Terminal (Baltijos pr. 40), 2.9 km from the hotel – about five minutes by car. Check-in closes 90 minutes before departure.
Cruise ships moor at the cruise terminal on the Danė, a 15-minute walk from Bohema; a new terminal is being built there until 2027.
By car
From Vilnius the A1 motorway brings you to Klaipėda in about 3 h 15 min (308 km), from Kaunas in about 2 h 15 min; in 2026–2027 a section between Babtai and Ariogala is being rebuilt, so allow extra time. From Riga it is about 306 km via Liepāja and Palanga. Passenger cars need no road vignette in Lithuania.
Bohema has private parking on site for €10 a day. Note that most border crossings with Russia's Kaliningrad region, including the one at Nida, are closed: only Kybartai is open to vehicles, and Panemunė to pedestrians.
